GOVERNANCE

With a eye towards transparency and participation, we present CIR’s activities, below, specifically regarding governance from 2006 to the present.

More than just a detailed history of the formal actions taken by CIR as an entity (conducting the membership meetings, approval of the budget, changes in the Charter, presentation of the Annual Report, etc.), the following provide an overview of the most important strategic decisions taken by the Assembly and the Board of Directors during recent years of great changes in the world of refugees and asylum seekers in Italy and Europe.

Also included are recognition of individuals who have done so much for CIR and even more for the rights of refugees generally, such as Bruno Trentin, Paolo Ungari, Rino Serri, and Maria Rita Saulle.

CIR’s Assembly meets: Budget approved, and Annual Report presented: 10,724 clients in 2012.
